Marc S. Wallis Biography


After graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Yale University, Marc completed his law degree at Washington University in St. Louis.  Marc received his Juris Doctorate in 1985, and subsequently joined Newman & Bronson to begin his practice as advocate for victims of individual and corporate negligence and wrongdoing.  In 1996, Marc became a named partner to the newly-designated Newman Bronson & Wallis. 

Since then, Marc has focused entirely on his litigation practice, earning a reputation as a highly successful trial attorney.  Due to his professionalism and dedication to the practice of law, Marc has been given numerous awards, including earning the highest AV Peer Review Rating by Martindale Hubbell, as well as recognition as a Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyer for multiple years and continuously since 2011.

Marc is active in both professional/legal and community organizations. Significant law-related activities include serving as a regular speaker at educational seminars for practicing attorneys and as a member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA), American Association for Justice (AAJ), the Missouri and Illinois Bar Associations, and the American Bar Association (ABA). Marc has mentored recent graduates of the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis as a member of the Washington University Law School Career Initiatives Committee.

Outside of the office, Marc has volunteered his time serving on the Board of Directors of the St. Louis Jewish Community Center (JCC) and as the Chairperson of the Sports, Recreation, and Aquatics division, and the Safety Committee. 

On a more personal level, Marc has been a longtime coach of youth and teen baseball and basketball teams, while he and his wife raised their three children.  His hobbies include boating and collecting music with an eclectic taste for a variety of genres, but most especially having an appreciation for the Grateful Dead.
